PP Kopimaster can be used to
create backups or move files from local drives or network drives. PP
Kopimaster has been designed to copy or move files in a network
environment. With PP Kopimaster, you can change the file extension in the
copy process. Only new or changed files will be handled; this means that
PP Kopimaster examines the files you copy from and to; if a new file has
been created, or if a file has been changed, PP Kopimaster copies the
files based on your file type settings.
You can also choose the file types to be copied with PP Kopimaster. PP
Kopimaster has 5 settings; you can choose your own names, the background
colour and the text colour of these settings. As the illustrations show, you
have a number of possibilities. Let us first look at the 5 round option
fields. If you rightclick these fields, you can give them your own names.
In this example, I have named the first option field "Safety
backup". When you click one of the option
fields, you will see that the contents of the copy editor and
setting panel (the illustration below) change. The selections you
make in "Check subfolders" etc. depend on the setting. ·
Check the field "Check
subfolders" to include all subfolders in the path you have written or
inserted with the Explorer. ·
Check the field "Change
file extension" to change the file extension of the file you
are copying; in the small edit box next to the field, you can write *.txt;
all your files will then get this extension at their new destination. ·
Check the field "Delete
source file" to delete the files you copy from (corresponds to
moving files). ·
Check the field "Minimize
program on run" to minimize the program to a button on the
Windows taskbar during copying. ·
Check the field "Synchronize
files" to make PP Kopimaster check if the destination folder
contains a file that does not exist in the source folder (if you delete
files in the source folder, you can use this function to delete unwanted
files in the destination folder). ·
Check the field "Confirm
delete" to confirm deletion of a file in the
destination folder (if this function was enabled by
"Synchronize files"). In the field "File
type", you can write the type of the file that you want PP
Kopimaster to copy or move. If they are text files, select
"*.txt" in the field. Rightclick the field to insert or delete a
file type. In Options, you can choose to load
the program automatically when starting Windows. You can also choose to
start autorun when PP Kopimaster is loaded. When PP Kopimaster runs in
autorun, it looks for the first command option and performs the tasks
defined there and then it performs the following commands. You can also use the Windows Task
Scheduler to start PP Kopimaster at the most convenient time. When you add
a task in the Task Scheduler, it is important to
add "autorun" in the shortcut path, e.g. "PP Kopimaster.exe autorun". PP
Kopimaster will then perform all tasks. If
you have activated the Tray icon and the program was minimized the last
time you used PP Kopimaster, PP Kopimaster will use these settings at
autorun. If you want to use the program via
the Tray icon, PP Kopimaster will perform the backup even faster. I hope this description and the
illustrations have given you an introduction to the facilities of the
program and I hope you will find PP Kopimaster useful. Kind regards |
